Keywords & reports
Search-visibility tracking and the reports that summarize everything RivalSweep found.
Keyword rank tracking
Track a search phrase and RivalSweep checks where your domain and each tracked competitor rank for it in Google results. If you added your own domain during onboarding, its position is compared against your competitors' automatically.
Market, location and device
Each keyword picks a market (the country and language edition of Google searched — Spain and Español, for example) and can optionally be scoped to a location (left blank, it's tracked globally) and a device — desktop or mobile — since rankings can differ between all three.
Rank checks and history
Positions are checked on your plan's rank-check frequency, or on demand from the keyword detail page. Every check adds a point to that keyword's position history, and a meaningful movement — yours or a competitor's — is recorded as a rank-change event.
Getting started faster
If you used “Not sure who to watch?” during onboarding, the search phrases it suggested carry straight into keyword tracking as one-click “Track” options — you don't need to think of phrases from scratch. Those suggestions are AI-sharpened when your workspace's AI budget allows it; see The AI.
Reports
A report groups the relevant changes RivalSweep found across your competitors into one briefing, with the evidence attached.
Analyst note
While your workspace's AI budget lasts, each report opens with a two-to-four sentence analyst note synthesizing that period's events — clearly labeled as AI interpretation, not observed fact, the same fact/inference discipline as every other AI output in RivalSweep. If the budget is exhausted, no relevant changes happened, or the AI is unavailable, the report ships without it — the factual summary and evidence below are never affected.
Cross-competitor patterns
A single change can't show you that two of your three competitors moved on pricing this month — that pattern only exists across changes. RivalSweep flags it automatically (no AI needed to detect it, only to describe it in the note above) whenever two or more competitors touch the same category within a window: on the overview page for the trailing 30 days, and in each report for its own period.
Weekly and on demand
A report is generated automatically every week. You don't have to wait for it: the Reports page has a “Generate this week's report” button that builds and delivers a report for the trailing 7 days immediately, any time you want a current read.
Delivery
Reports are emailed to workspace members. If you've connected a Slack or Microsoft Teams webhook in Settings, the same briefing is mirrored there. Each report keeps a delivery audit you can review from its detail page.
Sharing outside your workspace
Need to send a report to someone without a RivalSweep account — a founder, an exec, a board member? Open the report and choose “Enable share link” to create a public, unauthenticated URL for that specific report. It stays live until you choose “Revoke link”, which disables it immediately.
